As part of the global knowledge community, the University of Calabar seeks to build strong and formidable partnerships with outstanding academics and international institutions in order to tap into the huge amount of opportunities presented by the rapidly growing rate of internationalization for her members of staff and students. To achieve this, the Directorate of External Relations and Partnership (DERP) was established in January 2021 by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Florence Banku Obi, and given the mandate to foster, expand and support academic and research collaboration between institutions (national and international) and the University of Calabar in areas of staff development, research and scholarships, students exchange, courseware sharing and curriculum development, split-site and joint post graduate programmes, internship for undergraduate and post graduate students, and education and outreach programs..... The Directorate facilitates, assists with documentations and monitors partnerships among the University of Calabar and external institutions and also serves as a repository of information on all of the University’s partnerships. The pioneer director of the Directorate is Prof. Peter C. Okafor of the Department of Pure & Applied Chemistry. We are available to discuss potential collaborations.
