College Of Medical Sciences

Hello, and Welcome to College Of Medical Science.

Welcome to the College of Medical Sciences, University of Calabar. We are a comprehensive academic centre set up to educate students in professional and other progrmmes both at undergraduate and graduate levels. The College comprises four (4) Faculties:
1. Faculty of Medicine –made up of 16 departments of Internal Medicine, Surgery, Community Medicine, Family Medicine, Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Radiology, Otorhinolaryngology, Anaesthesiology, Ophthalmology, Pathology, Haematology, Chemical Pathology, Medical Microbiology & Parasitology, Orthopaedics and Traumatology and Psychiatry.
2. Faculty of Dentistry- with 5 departments of Oral/Maxillofacial surgery, Child Dentistry, Oral Biology, Orthodontics and Community Dentistry
3. Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences- Anatomical sciences. Human Physiology, Biochemistry/Human Nutrition & dietetics, and Pharmacology
4. Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences- Medical laboratory Science, Radiography and Radiological Sciences, Nursing Science, Public health and Physiotherapy
The Provost is the Academic and Administrative Head of the College and oversees the activities of all the Faculties and departments. It is my belief that every student comes to the College with a dream for the future. At the College of Medical Sciences, University of Calabar, we help every student build on these dreams.
