Okpiliya Francis Inah is Associate Professor in the Department of Geography/Environmental Science, University of Calabar. He holds a B.Sc. Degree in Geography/Regional Planning from the University of uyo and M.Sc. and Ph.D in Environmental and Resource Planning from the University of Jos. His area of specialization is Biogeography. He has researched widely in the area of vegetation ecology, agro-climatological studies and Biodiversity issues. He has published 53 Journal articles in both foreign and local journals. Equally, he has 10 conference papers (both foreign and local) 2 books and 7 book chapters. He has supervised more than 16 Ph.D and 8 M.Sc. candidates. He held the position of Head of Department from 2014-2016. He was an adjudicator in the Pan-African Universities debating championship in University of Legon (Accra), Limpopo (South Africa) and several other debating championships in the Universities in Nigeria. He is a member of Nigeria Geographical Association and Nigeria Environmental Society. He consults for World Bank in the preparation of Environmental and Social Management Plan for Igaba gully erosion, Obudu.  Â
