EmailDr Innocent Okoi is an accomplished Associate Chartered Accountant of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria. He is experienced in preparation of financial statements in line with International Financial Reporting Standards and International Public Sector Accounting Standards. He ensures compliance to Local and International standards as well as statutory regulations and has been involved in investment decisions, budgeting, procurement and financial analyses. He is finely tuned with good communication skills. A team player with good interpersonal skills that can work in a multi-disciplinary and culturally diverse workplace. He has an exceptional knowledge of mathematical concepts, accounting and finance topics, quantitative analysis for business as well as banking principles. Okoi is a scholar with professional competence as well as maintenance of ethical standard. He joined the services of the University of Calabar in 2015 as Lecturer II in the Department of Banking and Finance. Since joining the Department, he has been teaching, mentoring and contributing to the training and graduation of students in the University. Besides, Dr Okoi is a Senior Consultant with Beth-El Bassey Ibor & Co Chartered Accountants. He has worked with Auditors of Akintola Williams Deloitte in several audit engagements while in ORYX- ADDAX OIL and GAS (ORYX ENERGIES) for five consecutive years. He holds Ph.D (Finance), M.Sc. (Finance) and B.Sc. (Accounting) degrees obtained from the University of Calabar, Nigeria in 2018, 2010 and 2002 respectively. He has had over ten years hands-on experience in fraud and audit investigations (both external and internal) in private capacities. He is very proficient in Sage Pastel Evolution Software, Peachtree software and basic software applications- MS Word, MS Excel and MS Powerpoint. Finally, he has published in many papers in reputable journals.
