EmailMrs Nneka Amalu is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of History and International Studies, University of Calabar. She joined the University in 2013 as Graduate Assistant and was upgraded to the rank of Assistant Lecturer in 2015. Nneka holds a B.A. degree in History and International Studies that was awarded to her by the University of Calabar in 2010; M.A. degree in Peace and Conflict Studies (Human Security) from the University of Ibadan (2015) and is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Peace and Conflict Studies in the Department of History and International Studies, University of Uyo. Mrs Nneka Amalu is a recipient of the Winifred Akoda’s Prize Award for the Best Graduating Student in the Department of History and International Studies, University of Calabar in the 2009/2010 session. She is also a beneficiary of the Research Award for Sustainable Agriculture and Biotechnology in 2016/2017 from the Support Africa International/Support Africa Foundation, Germany. Nneka has been teaching, researching, mentoring and contributing to the graduation of students in the University. She has attended many local conferences where she made presentations. Mrs Nneka has published many articles in reputable local and international journals. She is a member of the Historical Society of Nigeria and the Society for Peace Studies and Practice. Mrs Nneka is married with children.
