About Dr. Margaret Mombel Opiah

Magaret Mombel Opiah (PhD) of the Department of Nursing Science, University of Calabar, Nigeria. She started her University career with the Niger Delta University, Wilberforce Island Bayelsa State as an academic staff in 2006. Before then, she worked with Ministry of Health, Nigeria. In 2017 she transferred her service to the University of Calabar as a Senior Lecturer, now an Associate Professor in Nursing.Her specialty area is Maternal, Newborn Child Nursing.She is a member of various professional bodies and committees some of which are: Fellow West African College of Nursing (FWACN). Member, National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM). Member, Science Association of Nigeria (SAN). Member, National Council of Science Association of Nigeria Member, European Centre for Research Training and Development UK to mention but a few. She was also a member, of Examination Committee of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria. Presently a member of Nursing Education Committee of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria. She has published more than thirty papers in various high-index Journals. She is also married with two beautiful girls.
