My training as a Chemical Pathologist working with protein energy malnourished children has enabled me to study antioxidants extensively in malnourished children. I have been involved in antioxidant research, in University of Ibadan, University of Calabar, University of The Gambia and Achievers University, Owo, Nigeria. My research interest are in Cellular antioxidant defence systems in protein energy malnutrition and other disease conditions like malaria. Other research interests have involved work on cigarette smoking and effect on the liver and heart.I have been involved in many research groups with children with P falciparum malaria. I have been involved in the training of BSc, M.Sc and Ph.D students in the Universities I have lectured in.
