Louis Hitler obtained his B.Tech (Hons) degree in Industrial chemistry with First Class in 2014 at the Federal University of Technology, Yola, Adamawa State. Upon graduation, He received the Chancellor, Pro-Chancellor and Deans award as the overall best graduating student. Because of his excellent and consistent academic record, in the third year of his undergraduate studies, he was awarded a full scholarship by the Federal Government of Nigeria through the Ministry of Education to support and complete his undergraduate studies. He was also recognized with an award of excellence by the Student Chemical Society of Nigeria (SCSN) and the National Association of Science Students (NASS). After his mandatory National Youth Service in 2015, He was employed as a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Pure and Applied Chemistry, University of Calabar, Nigeria. In 2019, He obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Physical Chemistry under the Supervision of Prof. Dr. He Tao at the National Centre for Nanoscience and Technology (NCNST), University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), Beijing, China, which is one of the institutions in China’s Double Top University Plan. Thanks to the full scholarship awarded in 2016 by the Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC). Presently, Louis Hitler is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Pure and Applied Chemistry, Faculty of Physical Sciences, University of Calabar, and his scientific research theme is on Computational and Theoretical Quantum Chemistry. His research direction focuses on new and innovative approach to electronic structure method development, implementation, and subsequent applications to solve interesting scientific problems. In 2019, Louis Hitler was elected into the membership of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), Royal Australian Chemical Institute (RACI), New Zealand Institute of Chemistry (NZIC), and Institute of Chartered Chemist of Nigeria (ICCON). He has published up to five (5) peer-reviewed articles in Thompson Reuters or SCI index journals such as European Physical Journal Plus, Chinese Journal of Chemical Physics, Indian Journal of Physics, and Materials Science for Energy Technologies. Louis is preparing for his PhD study in the area of Theoretical Quantum Chemistry at University of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, under the Supervision of Prof. Dr. Peter Gill (Graduate student of John Pople, 1998 noble laureate in Chemistry).
