About Dr. Linus Odumogban Inyang

Dr. Linus O. Inyang is a Multi-Professional, a Teacher, a Researcher, a Prolific writer, an Accountant, a Management Consultant, a Public Policy Analyst, an Entrepreneur, Sociologist and Anthropologist. He joined the services of the University of Calabar in 2013 as Accountant I. In September, 2016, he was converted to Lecturer II where he has been teaching, mentoring and researching for the past three years in the Department of Sociology. He holds a Nigerian Certificate in Education (Social Studies/Economics) obtained from the National Teachers’ Institute, Kaduna. He obtained a Higher National Diploma in Accounting from Federal University of Technology, Owerri in 2001. Dr Inyang was awarded a Post Graduate Diploma in Management and Master of Business Administration degree by the University of Calabar, Nigeria in 2002 and 2004 respectively. He obtained his B.Sc. degree in Policy Study and Administration in 2007, M.Sc./PhD degree in Industrial Sociology in 2015 from the University of Calabar, Nigeria. Dr Inyang’s main areas of research include Industrial Sociology, Decision Theory, Organizational Behaviour, Formal Organization, Labour Matters, Public Policy Making and Anthropology. He has also served the University in many other capacities including Finance Officer to many Faculties including Graduate School, Faculty of Social Sciences Representative to Institute of Education and the Chairman, Faculty of Social Sciences Sport Committee. Dr. Inyang Linus O. has authored several books and book chapters. He has also published in many referred local and international Journals. Dr Inyang is a regular participant in many local and international conferences where he presented papers. He is a recipient of the Millennium Development Ambassador awarded by Teachers Without Boarders in 2008. He is a member of several professional bodies including Associate of Company and Commercial Accountants of Nigeria, Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Cost and Management Accountants, Nigerian Anthropological and Sociological Practitioners Association. He is married with children.
