About Mr. Kingsley Okoi Itam

Kingsley Itam joined the services of the University of Calabar as an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Agricultural Economics in 2013 after converting from Administration. He was promoted to the rank of a lecturer 2 in 2016. He graduated from the Department of Agricultural Economics and Extension in 1992 with a B.Agric. degree in Agricultural Economics and Extension. He was awarded M.Sc degree in Agricultural Economics in 2012 and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management in 2000 in the University of Calabar. He is currently undergoing Ph.D studies in Agricultural Economics in the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. His research interests are in the area of resource use efficiency, production economics, climate change, environmental conservation, environmental economics, policy analysis etc. He has been involved in teaching, researching, mentoring and contributing to the graduation of students in the University and has supervised a number of undergraduate students to completion. Mr Itam has Co-authored a number of articles in both local and International journals and has attended conferences and academic workshops. In 2010, he participated in the World Bank baseline survey in Cross River State and he was a member of the Transition Sub-Committee on Agriculture and Natural Resources in Cross River State, in 2007. He is a member several professional bodies and he is married with kids.
