Dr. Imo Martin Obot joined the services of the University of Calabar in 2013 as a Senior Lecturer and was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor in 2017. He holds a Diploma certificate in Latin, bachelors degrees in Philosophy and Theology awarded by the Urban University, Rome in 1989 amd 1993 respectively, Post Graduate Diploma in Environmental Education certificate (2001) from the University of Calabar. He also holds master’s degrees in Philosophy, Public Administration and Education (Social Studies Education/Curriculum and Teaching) and Doctor of Philosophy degree awarded by the University of Calabar in 2000, 2002, 2013 and 2009 respectively. Since joining the University, he has been teaching, mentoring and researching thereby contributing to the graduation of students and the development of the University. he has successfully supervised and co-supervised over ten graduate students' thesis. Dr Imo Obot has attended many conferences, workshops, symposia and seminars where he presented papers and also made useful contributions. He has published over forty articles in reputable peer-reviewed academic journals. Furthermore, he has published two textbooks. Dr Imo Obot was a beneficiary of the Lady Bigard Scholarship for B.Phil and B.Th. 1984-1988 and 1989-93 respectively. Dr Imo Obot is presently serving the University as Director, Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme. He is a member of Philosophy of Education Association of Nigeria, Philosophy of Education Society of Great Britain, National Council for Exceptional Children, Social Studies and Civic Educators Association of Nigeria, Curriculum Organization of Nigeria, Social Studies Association of Nigeria, European Centre for Research Training and Development, United Kingdom and Teachers’ Registration Council of Nigeria.
