Prof. Imeyen A. Noah joined the services of the University of Calabar, Nigeria in 1977 as Lecturer II in the Department of Modern Languages and Translation Studies. He rose through the ranks and was appointed Professor of Oral Literature in French in 2008. He holds a PhD degree in French from the University of Ottawa, Canada (1986), MA degree in Comparative Literature in French from La Sorbonne, Paris III (1975) and B.A. degree from the Université de Toulouse, France (1974). He was awarded a Nigerian Certificate in Education by the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria in 1971.
