Professor Etuk’s academic career commenced in 1998 when she joined the Department of Paediatrics, University of Calabar, Calabar as a lecturer one and had risen through the ranks to become a Professor of Paediatrics with special interest in Paediatric Nephrology in 2012. She had been Residency training coordinator and examination’s officer of the Department of Paediatrics in 2002 to 2004. She served as Head of Paediatric Department in 2005 to 2007. She had been a member of Senate of the University of Calabar from 2005 to 2010 in diverse capacities and a permanent member from 2012 till date. Prof Etuk has served as external examiner to University of Uyo, Uyo, University of Benin, Benin amongst others. She also examines at the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria at both Parts 1 and 11 levels. She belongs to many professional bodies and has attended many conferences both nationally and internationally with paper presentations. Professor Etuk has thirty eight scientific publications in international and local journals to her credit.
