About Mr. Bassey Ballantyne Ikpeme

Mr Bassey Ballantyne Ikpeme is a humble, result driven and dedicated scholar with passion to promote service delivery for the optimal and overall interest of the organization. He was employed as a Medical Social work counsellor into the services of the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital, Calabar, Nigeria in June, 2008. He served the hospital in various capacities as a counsellor until he transferred his services to the Department of Social Work, University of Calabar, Calabar in July, 2017 as an academic staff. He obtained a Diploma in Social Work in 1996, B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in Social Work (2002), M.Sc. degree in Development Sociology (2006), all from the University of Calabar. He is a honorary recipient of the Theological College and Seminary, Manama- Bahrain, under the Community University in 2009 award.He has published several articles in both local and international peer reviewed journals. Ikpeme has participated in many conferences where he made several presentations. He is a member of the Instiute of Social work of Nigeria, Nigerian Association of Social Worker and Association of Medical Social Workers of Nigeria. He is happily married with children.
