He joined the service of University of Calabar in 2016, as a Graduate Assistant. He was elevated to the rank of an Assistant Lecturer immediately he obtained a Master of Science degree in 2019. Ikechukwu obtained his first degree certificate in 2008, from the Department of Government and Public Administration, Imo State University Owerri, Nigeria. (Bachelor of Science degree in Government and Public Administration, with Second Class Upper Division). He equally received his Master of Science degree in 2019, from the department of Public Administration University of Calabar, where he majored in Local Government Administration. In the year 2022, Ikechukwu obtained Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree, from the Department of Public Administration University of Calabar, Nigeria. He specialised in Development Administration. As an emerging researcher, he has published a handful of articles. Ikechukwu’s research interest is development studies.
