Prof (Mrs) Uwah is the current head of department of Pure & Applied Chemistry, University of Calabar, Calabar. She is a Professor of Physical/Environmental Chemistry. She holds a B. Sc degree in Chemistry from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, M. Sc in Physical Chemistry and PhD in Physical/Environmental Chemistry from the University of Calabar, Calabar. Prof (Mrs) Uwah has forty two papers in scientific journals. Ikama Uwah is a Fellow of the Institute of Chattered Chemists of Nigeria, member, Nigerian Environmental Society, member of chemical Society of Nigeria, member National Association of Petroleum Explorationists and member Women in Science. Her research interests include Environmental and Corrosion studies
