Mr. Hycenth Okang Owui is a lecturer in the Department of Banking and Finance, University of Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria. He joined the University as a Graduate Assistant in 14th February, 2011. He was later upgraded to the rank of Assistant Lecturer in 2014. Mr Owui was awarded a B.Sc. degree in Banking and Finance by the University of Calabar in 2004 and M.Sc. degree in Finance by the same University in 2013. His area of specialization is Public Finance and Financial Management. He is a man of many parts who has very deep passion for teaching, education, administration, management, learning, service, research and sports. He has been teaching at undergraduate level since he was upgraded to the rank of Assistant Lecturer. He has published several articles in peer review local and international journals. He has also attended many conferences within and outside Nigeria where he made presentations. He is a graduate member of the Nigerian Institute of Management, student member of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (ICAN). He is happily married to Blessing and the marriage is blessed with children. His hobbies include reading, preaching of the gospel, football and travelling.
