Email  Dr. Helen Walter Mboto joined the services of the University of Calabar as an Assistant Lecturer on the 5th of October, 2010 in the Department of Banking and Finance, University of Calabar, Calabar. She was promoted to the rank of Lecturer 1 in 2017. Mrs Helen Mboto holds a National Diploma and Higher National Diploma from the then Polytechnic, Calabar in 1997 and 1999 respectively. She later proceeded to the University of Calabar where she obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Management in 2003, EMBA, M.Sc. and PhD degrees in 2005, 2008 and 2016 respectively. Her main area of specialisation is Corporate Finance. Dr Mboto has been teaching at both undergraduate and post graduate levels, mentoring and contributing to the graduation of students in the University. She has successfully supervised and co-supervised over many students at various levels. Dr Mboto has seved the University in other capacities including Examinations Officer (2012-2014) and presently, serving as Acting Head of Department of Banking and Finance (2018 to date). Mrs Helen Mboto is a regular participant in many academic conferences, seminars, symposia and workshops where she made presentations. She has published many articles in peer reviewed academic local and international journals. She is happily married with children.
