About Dr. Grace Ekpenyong Iniama

Dr Grace Ekpenyong IniamaÂ is an Associate Professor of Inorganic Chemistry (2009). She holds a PhD degree from University of Calabar-Nigeria. She joined the University of Calabar in 1996 as an Assistant Lecturer. Her main research interests include Coordination Chemistry, Organometallics and Bioinorganic Chemistry. She has taught many courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels and also contributed to the graduation of many students in the Department. Dr Grace Iniama has successfully supervised over five students at graduate level. She has made presentations at both local and international conferences and has over twenty-five publications in both local and international peer review journals. She is a beneficiary of the 2013 University of Calabar based institutional based TETFUND research grant that her took to Instituto Magnetismo de Applicado, La Rossa, Spain. Dr Grace Iniama is a member of the Chemical Society of Nigeria, Fellow, African Scientific Institute, member, Organisation of Women in Science in Developing World, Science Teachers Association of Nigeria and Nigerian Women Academic. She is currently working on synthesis, characterization and biological applications of transition metal complexes.Â
