About Dr. Glory Eteng Bassey

Dr. Glory Eteng Bassey is a Lecturer II in the Department of Social Work, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Calabar, Calabar. She holds a Ph.D. degree in Rural Sociology and Community Development awarded by the University of Uyo in 2019; M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees in Development Sociology (2014) and Social Work (2010( from the University of Calabar. She joined the service of the University of Calabar in 2013 as a Graduate Assistant and was later upgraded in 2015 to Assistant Lecturer. Since then, she has been teaching undergraduate students and research at the University. She has over 20 publications in both local and foreign peer-reviewed journals. She has attended both foreign and local conferences where she presented series of papers and made useful contributions. She is a consultant to many organizations including WHO, GAVI, UNFPA, UNAIDS, Project Alerts, and Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute, and so on. She is currently researching the Multivariate impact of the COVID-19 Crises on Women and Girls with HIV in Nigeria: A rapid national and sub-national cross-sectional. She is a member of the Nigeria Association of Social Workers, International Research and Development Institute, and Forum for African Women Educationalists. Her email address is [email protected]
