EmailMr. Omorobi, Garieth Omorobi is a thoroughly bred academic in the Department of Educational Management, Faculty of Educational Foundation Studies, University of Calabar, Calabar. He hails from Edondon town in Obubra Local Government Area of Cross River State, Nigeria. He attended and obtained his First School Leaving Certificate in St. Brendan’s Primary School, Edondon. He further attended and obtained his Senior Secondary Certificate (SSCE) in Comprehensive Secondary School, Edondon in 2007. He furthered his university education in 2010, in the prestigious University of Calabar, where he recorded excellent performance and graduate with First Class honours in Educational Administration, Planning and Supervision in 2014. This excellent performance motivated the then Dean of Faculty of Education, Prof. Florence Banku Obi to strongly recommend him to be retained as Graduate Assistant in 2016. In 2016, he enrolled and pursued his masters’ degree studies and was first and only student to complete the programme in record time in 2018. To satisfy his taste for education, he immediately enrolled for doctoral studies in 2018 and is currently a Ph.D candidate in Administration of Higher Education. He is a registered teacher under the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN). He is also a member of some professional bodies such as National Association of Educational Administration and Planning (NAEAP) and Common Wealth Council for Educational Administration and Management (CCEAM). He has attended and presented papers in many national and international conferences. He has also earned a few awards for academic excellence namely: Professor Grace Mbipom Foundation Award of Excellence 2013; Departmental best graduating student award 2014; Faculty of Education Best graduating student award 2014. He was also overwhelmingly elected and served as the class leader (equivalent to Faculty president) of the 2018/2019 Ph.D class in the entire Faculty of Education.
