EmailEyo Itam Eyo is a Lecturer in the Department of Banking and Finance, University of Calabar, Calabar since October 2011. Prior to joining the academia in 2010, Eyo was an Accountant II at the Bursary Department, University of Calabar where he was responsible for preparation of institutional budget for some arms of the University. His love for knowledge, research and knowledge-sharing had him converted to Academics in October, 2011. He holds also a B.Sc. (2005) and an M.Sc.(2010) degrees in Banking and Finance and Finance, respectively from the University of Calabar, Calabar, Nigeria. His research interests are in the areas of corporate finance, capital formation, corporate governance, monetary theory and policy, banking and entrepreneurial development. Eyo who is a study fellow of the University of Calabar has presented his research works in conferences overseas and has authored/ co-authored published articles in reputable refereed journals. His current project is focused on: stock market performance and capital formation in Nigeria, capital formation and stock market growth: evidence from Nigeria; investigating the effect of global financial crisis on the Nigerian banking system and assessing bank credits and agricultural productivity in Nigeria. Eyo is a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) and member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM).
