Offiong, Ekwutosi Essien is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of History and International Studies University of Calabar, Calabar. She hods a PhD from University of Calabar (2003). She was an Acting Dean of Student Affairs , Federal University Lafia, Nasarawa State (2015 - 2016) while on Sabbatical leave. She is a member of the Historical Society of Nigeria.
