About Dr. Anthony Alphonsus Ekpoudo

Dr. Anthony Ekpoudo is a lecturer the Department of Commercial and Industrial Law, University of Calabar, Calabar and a Legal Practitioner. Prior to joining the Faculty of Law in 2014 he had worked with the University of Calabar International Demonstration Secondary School and the Cross River State Post Primary Schools ‘Management Board (PPSMB) as a Principal Master. Dr. Ekpoudo attended the University of Cross River State, Uyo ( now University of Uyo) and the University of Calabar. He is multi disciplinary scholar and hold double honours degree in Education and Political Science and a Master of Education (M.Ed) in ducational Psychology. He also hold the Bachelors (LL.B), Masters (LL.M) and Doctorate Degree ( Ph.D) in Law. He earned his Ph.D degree in Environmental Law with emphasis on Pollution Regulations and Management. Dr. Ekpoudo is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and a Chartered Teacher. In the University he teaches Labour Law, Business Law, the law of Torts and other commercial and public law subjects. He is a recipient of the Distinguish Member Award from Corporate Minds Nigeria (CMN). He has given talks on diverse areas of human endeavour on different occasions and has successfully supervised may students projects. He is a member of the Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT), Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and the Nigerian Association of Law Teachers (NALT), and has attended many conferences seminars and workshops organized by these and other bodies. Dr. Ekpoudo has collaborated with some of his colleagues on research endeavours has several publications in reputable journals to his credit. His books on Labour Law and Business Law is ongoing. He is presently researching on the Development and Practice of Environmental Law in Africa and Nigerian Pollution Laws. Dr. Anthony Ekpoudo lives, teaches and practice in Calabar, Nigeria.
