He is a Doctoral candidate with specialization in International relations and Strategic Studies in the University of Calabar. He holds a Master of Science degree in International Relations and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Calabar. His main research interests are in the areas of human security, good governance and security sector governance, counterterrorism, transnational organized crime, and continental integration and security. He has several publications in both local and international journals
