Town Planner (Tpl) James Edide of the Department of Urban and Regional Planning and a certified professional town planner. He holds 2 Master Degrees in Urban and Regional Planning (URP) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo State. He was Head of GIS/Digital Cartography unit in the Department of Geography and Environmental Sciences, University of Calabar from 2010-2017. He is now a lecturer II, and Board Secretary in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, University of Calabar. He is a member of many professional bodies such as Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (NITP), Town Planners Registration Council (TOPREC) of Nigeria and member of Geoinformatic Society of Nigeria (GEOSON)
