EmailDr. Ededet Akpan Eno joined the Department of Pure and Applied Chemistry in 2005 as an Assistant Lecturer and was promoted to the rank of Senior Lecturer in 2014. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Chemistry from the University of Cross River State, Uyo, now University of Uyo in 1990, M.Sc. in Inorganic Chemistry and a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry in 2001 and 2010 respectively from University of Calabar, Calabar. His major area of research interest is in the Applications of Inorganic Materials in Biochemical Systems and Catalysis. Dr. Eno is a beneficiary of the Third World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) Fellowship for Research and Advanced Training (2007-2008) that took him to the National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan. He did his Post-Doctoral Fellowship (2013-2014) under the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research, CSIR-TWAS Post-Doctoral Fellowship at CSIR-North East Institute of Science and Technology, Jorhat, India. In 2017, he was awarded DAAD Research Stays for University Academics and Scientists as a Visiting Researcher at Julius-Maximillans University, Wurzburg, Germany. Dr. Ededet Akpan Eno won the National Universities Doctoral Thesis Award scheme (NUDTAS) Co - Supervisors Award for Best Ph.D Thesis in the Discipline of Physical Sciences in The Nigerian University System in 2012. He has attended many local and international conferences, and has published many articles in reputable peer review journals Dr Eno has also served many scholarly journals as reviewer. He has contributed to the graduation of many under- and post-graduate students in the Department of Pure and Applied Chemistry. Dr Eno has supervised and co-supervised over five post-graduate students. Presently, he has three graduate students working under his supervision. Dr Eno is a member of the Chemical Society of Nigeria. He is married with children.
