Dr Christopher O. Udoka joined the University of Calabar, Department of Banking and Finance as an Assistant Lecturer on the 27th of May 1999. He holds B.Sc.(Hons.) degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Uyo (1992), MBA degree from the University of Uyo (1999), M.Sc. degree in Banking and finance (2003) from the University of Calabar, and Ph.D. degree in Banking and Finance (2006) from the University of Calabar. He is a member of the Academy of Management Nigeria, associate member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered), associate member of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants - Nigeria, member of the Society of Company and Commercial Accountants- London. Dr. Udoka specializes in Corporate Finance and has taught various courses at graduate and post-graduate levels including Merchant Banking, International Finance, Bank Lending and Loan Administration, Capital Market and Portfolio Theory, Corporate Finance, Advance Theory of Corporate Finance, Financial Management, Financial Planning and Control, and Managerial Finance. Dr. Udoka has authored and co-authored many papers in academic journals, locally and internationally and has supervised 5 Ph.D. candidates as chief supervisor and many Masters degree candidates. He has attended and presented papers in annual conferences organised locally and internationally. He has published two books in his area of specialty. He is happily married with Children.
