About Dr. Atunka Patrick Ogar

Atunka Patrick Ogar worked with the Obudu Local Government Area between 1976-1977 as a Clerical Officer. He was a lecturer with the Kaduna Polytechnic in 1985-1986. He taught in Teachers College, Daura in Katsina State between 1987-1988. He was a practicing Clinical Psychologist with the Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital along Calabar Road, Calabar between 1988-2016. Atunka Patrick Ogar lectured on Part-time with the Polytechnic, Calabar in 1994 to 2006, and he did same on Part-time with the Imo State University and Cross River University of Technology (CRUTECH) between 2003-2005. He rose to the rank of Assistant Director Clinical Psychology practicing with the Federal Neuro Psychiatric Hospital in 2015-2016. He is currently a lecturer in the Department of Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine, University of Calabar on the 8th of March, 2016. He lectures also Tourism and Environmental Science Students in the University of Calabar. He is a member of “who is who” in Cross River State and he won among twenty Nigerians the Bill Gates’ Research Fellowship Award. The University of Calabar also awarded him a Study Fellowship Award to do a Ph.D. in Medical Sociology among other Awards in the past.
