About Dr. Agam Ebaji Ayuk

Dr. Agam Ayuk, is a Consultant Family Physician and a lecturer with the University of Calabar Teaching hospital and University of Calabar respectively. He is a highly skilled clinician with over 16 years experience in health services delivery in both private and public health care systems. He is a clinical lecturer and trainer with over seventeen publications in both local and international reputable journals. Research interests include behavioural medicine, HIV medicine and managed care/health financing. He has been the Examination Officer of the Department of Family Medicine, University of Calabar from 2016 till date. Dr. Agam Ayuk is also involved in medical politics having held several political positions including: Chairman, Nigerian Medical Association, Cross River State Branch; President, Association of Resident Doctors, University of Calabar Teaching Hospital (UCTH), Calabar and founding President, UCTH Doctors Multipurpose Co-operative Society. He is involved in volunteer services especially medical outreaches. As a Physician generalist, he has acquired extensive experience in comprehensive care of unselected patients, with undifferentiated problems, and committed to the person-centered care regardless of age, gender, illness or organ system. His clinical specialty of Family Medicine has adequately equipped him in patient-centered, evidence based, family focused and problem oriented care.
