EmailAsso. Prof. Afangideh Asuquo Isong has worked in the university of Calabar for over 25 years having been employed in 2nd October 1990. He holds a Ph.D degree in Climatology and climate science from University of Uyo, Nigeria an M.Sc. degree in Tropical Climatology from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria in 1989, and a Bachelor in Geography and Regional Planning in 1985 from the University of Calabar. He has won the University of Calabar Staff Development Fellowship and awards in 2000. His area of research interest is the environment generally particularly, Climatology and Climate Science, Hydrology, Research Methodology and Statistics. He has over 30 research articles including conferences papers to his credit. He has initiated the first World Environmental Day Conference since 2016 in his Department, A Book Project - The Cross River Region and has collaborated with several individuals and organizations on social and environmental research activities. Asso. Prof. A. I. Afangideh belongs to several associations both academic and social. He is a member of the Association of Nigerian Geographers, the West African Climate Change Research Group with emphasis in adaptation and mitigation strategies. who has supervised well over 80 B.Sc. (Hons.) degree Project and about 10 M. Sc. and Ph.D. He is happily married with children.    Â
