About Dr. Innocent Egbeji Abang

Dr.Innocent Egbeji Abang, is a voracious reader and a dedicated writer who started his academic career from the Army primary school Lagos and had short stay in St.Patrick Primary school Egbe Mbube and Mbube East Secondary school,all in Ogoja local government in Cross River state.He later returned to Lagos where he concluded his Secondary education at the most celebrated Command Day Secondary School,Ikeja, Lagos and then proceeded to University of Maiduguri where he had his first year in Medicine and Surgery and later transferred to the prestigious University of Calabar where he graduate with MBBCh in 1999. He further went through the Postgraduate medical college of Nigeria where he bagged his Fellowship in Orthopaedics and Traumatology(FMCOrtho) in 2012, He also holds a Fellowship of the International College of Surgeons( FICS) in 2018 ,he has fellowship with Institute of Management and Policy Development(FIMPD). He did not stop there, because of his quest for knowledge and development in leadership, he also obtained a Certificate in Leadership and management in health from University of Washington, USA. He has attended and presented academic papers in several conference both locally and internationally, these include Surgical Implant Generation Network(SIGN),Washington State,USA in 2017, 2018 and 2019. Other conferences attended included International Othopaedic Surgeons (SICOT) in Guangzhou, China 2013, Rome, Italy 2016 and Canada 2018 and 2019. He has also participated on hands-on training in plastic and reconstruction surgery by IGOT in California,USA. Locally,he has attended so many from conferences by National Postgraduate Medical college on Training the Trainer in2013 in Lagos, ALL FELLOW CONGRESSES(too numerous to mention),several other conferences by National Orthopaedics Association of Nigeria. He was one of the few Nigerian who participated in the protocol for Pain Management by United Nation Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in 2018.
