About Prof. Victoria Chizomam Emeribe

Before joining the University of Calabar, Professor Victoria Chizomam Emeribe obtained a Bachelor degree in Physical and Health Education (University of Ilorin), a Master’s degree in Physical and Health Education (Sports Psychology) (University of Lagos) and a PhD in Physical and Health Education (Sports Psychology) (University of Lagos). She joined the University of Calabar in 1990 as a Lecturer in Psychology and Sociology of Sports and Physical Education, Motor Learning and Human Performance. She has rose since then from graduate assistant to a full Professor since 2015, and over this period she has taught several sports and exercise science courses both at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She was the Foundation Head of the Department of Human Kinetics and Health Education (2010 to 2012). She has developed strong research interest, experience and qualifications in Psychology, Sociology of Sports and Physical Education. In addition, she has successfully supervised 6 Masters and 6 PhDs.
