EmailMr Charles Utsu Ushie holds a diploma certificate and degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Calabar, Calabar – Cross River State. He also possesses a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Theatre Arts and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from the Benue State University, Makurdi Benue State. Furthermore, Mr Ushie is a holder of a Post Graduate Diploma in Mass Communication (PGDM) from the University of Cross River State, Calabar, and Advanced Diplomas in Financial Accounting and Tourism respectively. He joined the University of Calabar as an Assistant Lecturer on the 14th of June 2017 in the Department of Mass Communication and Digital Media. He is a member of the Teachers' Registration Council of Nigeria, Society of Nigeria Theatre Arttist, Institute of Mass Communication and Information Management of Nigeria, African Council for Communication Education, among others. He has held several political offices which include Director-General, CRS Consumer Protection Agency, Senior Special Assistant to the Cross River State Governor on Peace and Reconciliation, Special Assistant / Protocols Officer to the Chairman, Obudu Local Government Area, Cross River State Liaison officer, Obudu, Obanliku, and Bekwarra Federal Constituency, and Chairman, Obudu Sanitation Board, among others.
