Dr. Kelechi Chinkata Uruakpa is a lecturer in the Anatomical science department, University of Calabar, Calabar Nigeria. He attended Holy Ghost College Owerri in 1994 where he obtained the West African Certificate. He graduated with Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in human anatomy from the prestigious University of Calabar in 2006 and 2012 respectively. Dr Uruakpa obtained his Ph.D Degree in human anatomy (Reproductive Biology) in 2018 in University of Calabar, Calabar. He joined the services of the University of Calabar in 2012 as a demonstrator and presently a lecturer II. Dr Uruakpa has been lecturing, mentoring, researching and contributing to the graduation of students in the University. His major areas of research include Reproductive Anatomy, Molecular Biology and Teratology. Because of his vested interest in reproductive Anatomy and Biology, his research over the years were focused on the fertility potentials in indigenous consumed herbs and nuts in Nigeria. He is a member of many scientific bodies locally and internationally such as Anatomical Society of Nigeria (ASN), Neuroscience Society of Nigeria (NSN), Society of Experimental and Clinical Anatomy of Nigeria (SECAN), Anatomical Society of South-South and South Eastern Nigeria amongst others. He has as well attended and presented papers in many local and international conferences, seminars, symposia and workshops. He has served his faculty as the faculty representative to faculty of allied medical school and agriculture science. He was the member of the local organizing committee of the international conference on Animal Care and use in research Education and testing in 2017. He has supervised some undergraduate projects. Dr. Uruakpa has published a learned and reputable journals. He is happily married with kids.
