About Dr. Tawo Catherine Njong

Catherine Njong Tawo is a Lecturer in Adult and Continuing Education Department, Faculty of Education, University of Calabar, Calabar. She holds a Ph.D in Adult and Continuing Education with specialization in Community Development. She is currently the Project Coordinator and Industrial Attachment Coordinator in the Department. She has been involved in teaching, research, project supervision and mentoring of Graduate and Undergraduate students. She is a member of Nigeria National Council for Adult Education (NNCAE), Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT), Reading Association of Nigeria (RAN) and Home Economics Teachers Association of Nigeria (HETAN). Her area of research interest is General Adult Education and Community Development. She is also interested in Gender Studies, Social Work’s Education and Inclusive Education. She has several publications in local and international journals of repute and has attended several conferences in Nigeria and neighbouring countries.
