EmailDr. Sylvester Akongi Unimke is a lecturer in the Department of Social Science Education, Faculty of Education, University of Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria. He holds B.Ed, M.Ed from University of Port Harcourt and Ph.D University of Calabar in 2015. Dr. S. A. Unimke was engaged by the service of the University of Calabar on 22nd July, 2016 as Lecturer II in the aforementioned Department. He has passion for research in the area of contemporary social issues and problems, and has contributed to the pool of knowledge via conferences and publications of papers in both Local and reputable International Journals. He has served as Local Organizing Committee (LOC) Secretary of Social Studies and Civic Educators' Association of Nigeria (SOSCEAN) Conference, held in the University of Calabar 6th-8th August, 2018. Currently, he is a bonafide member of Social Studies and Civic Educators' Association of Nigeria (SOSCEAN) and has won the Best Teacher Award in the Department of Social Science Education 2018 and still very active in his engagement as a lecturer.
