EmailAkaa Samuel Terzungwe, currently an Assistant Lecturer has been a Teacher, Banker, Accountant and Management Consultant before joining the services of the University of Calabar in 2018. He started his career with the Abdullahi Wase Polytechnic, Kano between 1998 and 1999 from where he joined Iyornumbe Ime & Co. (Chartered Accountants). He also served the First Bank of Nigeria Limited between 2001 and 2017 where he was variously Head of Banking Operations (HBO), Head of Marketing, Relationship Manager, Bank Manager and Business Manager. Akaa was also a member of the Team that established the Large Tax management department at the Benue Internal Revenue Services (BIRS) Makurdi in 2018. He has over the years been a Part Time Lecturer with the Department of Management Sciences of the Kwararafa University, Wukari, Taraba state since 2011. Akaa obtained his B.Sc Accounting from the prestigious Bayero University Kano in 1998, M.Sc in Human Resources Management from the Enugu State University of Science & Technology (ESUT) in 2008, MBA from the NOUN-Lagos in 2010 and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from the Usmanu Danfodio University Sokoto in 2011. Akaa is a member of the following professional bodies: MNIM-Full Member Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) 2012, MIMC-Member Institute of Management Consultants-Nigeria 2006, Fellow (CFC)- Institute of Fraud Management and Control (IFMC) 2013, ACAA-Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and Administrators (USA) 2011, Certified Teacher-Member Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) 2016. Akaa is a committed professional that is capable of creating a class room atmosphere that is stimulating and encouraging to students and possesses the aptitude to remain flexible, ensuring that every student’s learning styles and abilities are always addressed. He is at the moment a Ph.D Scholar in Business Management at the JOSTUM-Nigeria. Akaa has published widely in reputable academic journals in varying fields of management sciences and enjoys reading, playing badminton and meeting new people.
