Dr Otei Onda Otei is a native of Betem village in Biase Local Government Area. He trained in primary school Betem and had secondary education in St. Brendan secondary school, Obubra. He attended college of medical sciences university of Calabar and obtained the MBBCH degree in 1987. He trained in the West African College of Surgeons and qualified as a plastic surgeon in the year 2008. He was employed by the university of Calabar as a lecturer II in the year 2003 and promoted to lecturer I and senior lecturer in the years 2009 and 2014 respectively. He was the examination officer of the department of surgery university of Calabar from 2021 to 2022 and he is the present head of department of surgery.
Dr Otei is a plastic, aesthetic and reconstructive surgeon that has published many scientific papers.
