Odey Ade Osha completed his M.Sc. and Ph.D degrees in Chemical Engineering from the Byelorussian State Technological University, Minsk, Republic of Belarus. He is a Professor, a Registered Engineer (COREN) and Head, Department of Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, University of Calabar, Nigeria. In June 2019, he was appointed Acting Dean of the Faculty. Before joining the University of Calabar, Prof. Odey has been Head, Department of Chemical Engineering and Deputy Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Engineering Technology, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, Nigeria. Prof. Odey’s working experience spans over 30 years and incudes working with public, private and government organizations, and universities as academic leader in the capacity of Head of Department and head of Faculty as Dean. He has attended several workshops on Research Development and Innovation and addressed/chaired a number of seminars/conferences both in and outside Nigeria. He is indeed a good academic mentor to the younger colleagues in the Department. Engr. Prof. Osha was awarded an international patent from his research work. He also has to his credit over 40 articles in peer-reviewed journals and several conference papers, co-authored 1 technical book. He has 4 distinguished Awards of Excellence and Certificates of Honour.
