EmailThompson John Okpa was employed in 26th April, 2016 as an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Calabar, Nigeria. He holds a B.Sc. degree in Sociology and M.Sc. degree in Criminology awarded by the University of Calabar, Nigeria in 2010 and 2015 respectively. He has taught undergraduate courses in the Department of Sociology, University of Calabar, an institution renowned for research and training. Thompson John Okpa has attended several conferences and workshops. He has also conducted several other multi-disciplinary researches, such as, Human trafficking and Socio-economic development of Akwa Ibom, Nigeria; Security Equipment and Policing in Central Senatorial District of Cross River State, Nigeria. He is a Member of Nigerian Anthropological & Sociological Practitioners Association. As a seasoned researcher, he has published over nineteen articles in both local and foreign journals.
