About Mr. John Bassey Ita

Mr John Bassey Ita started his carrier as a Nurse in Saint Joseph’s hospital Ikot Ene, Akpabuyo in 1989. Thereafter he worked in Dr. Lawrence Henshaw Memorial hospital Calabar, General hospital Obubra and General hospital Calabar as a Clinical Nurse. John Ita was posted to School of Nursing Calabar, as a Nurse Tutor in 2011, all under Ministry of Health, Cross River State. John Ita was promoted to the rank of a Director Nursing in 2013. He then transferred his service to the University of Calabar in July 2013 where he is presently serving as Clinical Instructor. Educationaly, John Ita first attended Saint Joseph’s Primary School, Ikot Ene, Akpabuyo Local Government Area, Cross River State from 1971 to 1976 where he obtained his First School Leaving Cretificate in 1976. He moved to Hope Waddell Training Institute, Calabar from 1976 to 1981 for his General Certificate of Education (GCE). John Ita gained admission into the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Enugu Campus in 1992/1993 session where he obtained his B. Sc. (Nursing) in 1996. John Ita also attended University of Calabar where he obtained his Post Graduate Diploma in Education in 2015. Presently, John Ita is undergoing Post Graduate program in Medical Surgical Nursing, University of Calabar. John Ita has attended many conferences and presented papers in U6+ Initiative for Development conference held in Calabar in 2019. He has collaborated with Scholars on researches and scientific activities.
