EmailMrs Rita Ngozi Iwuchukwu was employed into the services of the University of Calabar International Demonstration Secondary School in November, 2000 as Mistress I. The appointment was converted to Assistant Lecturer in the Department of English and Literary Studies after rising to the position of Assistant Principal Mistress II in 2016. She had her primary and Secondary education at Community Primary School Ibele, Umuaka from1973 to 1979 and Secondary Technical School Akwakuna,Owerri, from 1979 to 1984, both in Imo, State,Nigeria. She had Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE English/French) in Alvan Ikoku College of Education from 1987 to 1990, Bachelor of Arts (Ed.) in Education English at Abia State University Uturu from 1990 to 1992 and Masters of Arts (M.A) in Applied Linguistics at University of Calabar, Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria, 2015. Mrs Iwuchukwu teaches and mentors undergraduate students. She is a member of Faculties of Arts and Humanities Scholars Association of Nigerian Universities and Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria. Her research interest is on Applied English Linguistics and Sociolinguistics with some publications in reputable journals. She has attended some conferences where she presented a paper. .
