He attended Primary School in Obubra 1963-1967 truncated by the Nigerian Civil War,he attended secondary school in Lutheran high School Obot Idim Uyo 1970-1974 and obtained West African School certification (WASC) Division1, proceded to Federal Government College Port-Harcourt 1974-1976 obtained high school certificate (HSC). He then proceded to College of medicine University of Lagos 1978-1983 and obtained MBBS. He got a placement for the mandatory Housemanship in University of Calabar Teaching Hospital 1983-1984 after which he proceded to the National Youth Service Corp in the then Gongola state 1984-1985. He was later employed into the Department of Surgery as a senior House surgeon and rose to the rank of a registrar in the development of surgery university of calabar teaching hospital 1985-1989 In 1996 he got employment into the department of Human Anatomy as Lecturer ll, and was the examination officer in the same department 1999-2002.he was promoted to lecturer I in 2010. He enroled into the MSc program Human Anatomy 2001-2007. He was then promoted to senior lecturer 1st October 2012. In 2010 he proceded to the PhD programme in Clinical & Radiographic Anatomy 2010-2017. He was on Sabbatical leave 2013-2014 in University of Uyo Department of Human Anatomy. He was Acting Head of Department of Human Anatomy University of Calabar 2014-2016. External Examiner 2017-2019 in Department of Anatomy university of uyo, External Examiner Department of Anatomy and molecular biology university of Lagos 2018-date. Faculty rep. in the faculty of Agriculture university of calabar 2018 to date.
