EmailDr. Eremi Emmanuel Ohara is a Lecturer in the Department of Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology, University of Calabar, Calabar.He obtained his B.Sc (ed) in agricultural education in 2006, M.Sc in agricultural extension and rural development in 2013 and Ph.D in agricultural extension and rural sociology in 2018, all from the University of Calabar. He joined the services of the University of calabar in 2015 as assistant lecturer and was upgraded to the rank of lecturer II on the 1st Oct, 2016. He is a specialist in Agricultural Education, Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology. He has published widely in reputable local and international journals and has contributed book chapters as well as authored and co-authored textbooks. He has taught a wide range of courses to students both at the college and university levels. He has multidisciplinary research interests, profound consultancy experience, and community development service engagements. In addition to his academic and research priorities, he is a regular resource person in youth-oriented conferences, seminars and mentorship activities. Dr Eremi Emmanuel Ohara is a dynamic researcher with vested bias in gender issues, climate change, environmental degradation, oil spillage, agricultural development, youth affairs and national development. He has participated in a wide range of rural and community development and evaluation programmes as well as talent hunt initiatives . He has held various positions both prior to his employment in the university of calabar, and within the university. He is a motivational speaker and an astute writer.
