EmailMr Emmanuel Odu is a competent, team worker and professional teacher who is dedicated to his work at all times. He served the Cross River State Ministry of education as Teacher, Vice Principal and Principal between July 1 1976 to April, 1999. He transferred his services to the Institute of Public Policy and Administration, University of Calabar in May 1999 as Assistant Research Fellow. He was promoted to the rank of Senior Research Fellow in 2010. Since then, he has been teaching, mentoring and contributing to the graduation of students in the University at different levels. He holds an NCE from College of Education, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State in 1981, B.Sc.(Ed) in Economics Education and M.Ed in Psychology (Tests and Measurements) degrees from University of Jos, Jos Plateau State, Nigeria obtained in 1986 and 1990 respectively. As an academic staff in the Institute, he has handled many positions of responsibilities including Examinations Officer, Programme Co-ordinator, Research leader and Staff adviser. He has also served the University in other capacities like Entrepreneurship Education Management Committee, University of Calabar Central Time Table Committee and UNICAL Servicom Committee. He received the University of Calabar award of commendation for excellent performance of duty in the year 2009. He has published good quality articles in journals, books and book chapters. He has also participated in many conferences where he made presentations. He is a member of Nigerian Association of Educational Researchers and Evaluators. He loves reading, traveling and entertainment.
