About Mr. Emmanuel Ikechukwu Akaerue

Mr. Akaerue Emmanuel Ikechukwu graduated from the Enugu State University of Science and Technology Enugu State with B.Sc. (Hons.) in Geology and Mining. He holds M.Sc in Applied Geophysics and Also M.Sc in Hydrogeology all at University of Nigeria Nsukka. Mr. Akaerue worked as a Principal Geologist with Ministry of Petroleum and Environment, Imo State. And serviced as an Environmental Officer for Nigeria Erosion and Watershed Management Project (NEWMAP), Imo State a world bank assisted Project. He is currently an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Physics (Geophysics Unit), University of Calabar, Calabar and a training facilitator to Nigeria Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), Cross River State. Mr. Akaerue is an assistant coordinator SIWE/IT for the Applied Geophysics Unit, Department of Physics University of Calabar (2019 till date). His core teaching and research areas spans through Seismic and Electrical methods, Reservoir Characterization and Modeling, Groundwater, Environmental and Engineering Geophysics. During the 55th International Conference and Exhibition Nigerian Mining and Geosciences Society, (NMGS) Coal-City 2019; A novelty paper was co-presented based on a hydrological model “EARTH-VAS2” he propounded. He has over seven publications in international journals. Akaerue is a promising and upcoming geoscientist with keen interest in ground-breaking research at any level within the frontiers of geosciences. He is a devout Christian, married to his adorable wife, Dr. (Mrs.) Mercy Etu-Akaerue and the marriage is blessed with a daughter Princess Ariella O. Akaerue.
