About Rev.Fr.Dr. Elias Ifeanyi E. Uzoigwe

Rev. Fr. Dr. Elias Ifeanyi E. Uzoigwe is a Lecturer in the Department of Philosophy, Faculty of Arts, University of Calabar, Nigeria. He received his Doctorate and Masters degrees (both First Class Hons.) in Philosophy from the University of Calabar. He was offered immediate lecturing appointment at the instance of the defense of his Thesis, which the External Examiner judged the overall best; and recommended him to be absorbed as an academic staff of the University. He obtained Professional Diploma in Education (PDE) from the Federal College of Education Technical (FCET) Umunze, Nigeria with Distinction in Educo Practicum. Fr. Dr. Uzoigwe holds Bachelor of Theology (B.TH, First Class Hons.) from the Pontifical Urban University, Rome. He also holds Bachelor of Arts (B.A) in Philosophy from the Nnamdi Azikiwe University (NAU), Awka, Nigeria. He further holds Diploma Certificate in Latin Language from the Pontifical Urban University, Rome, and Executive Diploma in International Diplomacy and Protocol (UK). Fr. Dr. Uzoigwe is a member of Faculty of Arts and Humanities Association of the Nigerian Universities (FAHSANU). He was the Editor of Pure Reason, a Publication of the Department of Philosophy, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. He has written Forewords to scholarly works; and has also published eight (8) books, and dozens of research works in leading international and local journals. He has presented papers including keynote papers in conferences. Long before his ordination to the Sacred Priesthood and joining the University System [in the course of his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC)], he has worked in the Research and Planning Department of Ondo State Government in the Ministry of Information, Youth and Sports in Akure, Nigeria. Rev. Fr. Dr. Elias Ifeanyi E. Uzoigwe is a priest of the Catholic Diocese of Ekwulobia, Nigeria.
