EmailDr, Ekpenyong Ibok was born on the 25 th of May, 1980 at General Hospital Calabar. He started his education at Methodist School, Akani-Obio, Oron Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom state in 1985 where he graduated in 1990 with a first school leaving Certificate. Dr Ekpenyong Ibok proceeded to Secondary Education in 1991 at Eastern Okobo High School Obufi, and later moved to Comprehensive Secondary School Okobo both at Okobo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, where Dr. Ibok completed his secondary school. On completion, he was admitted into the Department of Curriculum and teaching, Faculty of Education, University of Calabar , for a four year degree Programme in 2003. On completion of the programme , Dr Ekpenyong Ibok was awarded a B.Sc. degree in Mathematics Education from the University of Calabar in 2007. Immediately, Dr Ibok , returned from his one year compulsory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Dr. Ekpenyong Ibok proceeded to the University of Calabar, where he pursued a Masters Programme in the same University and obtained M.Ed. Degree in Mathematics Education, the then Department of Curriculum and Teaching and is there after pursued his Ph.D Programme in the same University in the Department of Science Education, Faculty of Education, University of Calabar and obtained Ph.D Degree in Mathematics Education. Dr. Ekpenyong Ibok started his career as a Mathematics tutor in a private secondary school in Calabar after his first degree graduation in 2007. He has also taught in many schools as a volunteer, which gained Dr. Ibok the opportunity to be employed into the University of Calabar International Demonstration Secondary School (UCIDSS) in 2011 where he taught further mathematics and registered 63.3% credit level success on the students West Africa Examination (WAEC) in 2013, and also taught General mathematics and registered 64% and 73% credit level success in 2018 and 2019 respectively. In 2019 after his ph.D programe, his service was given an appointment as an academic staff in the Department of Science Education, University of Calabar, Calabar,. Dr. Ekpenyong Ibok has published in many scholarly journals both within and outside Nigeria and he has attended a number of conferences in which papers have been presented. He has supervised and taught undergraduate students from year one to year final year. Dr Ibok has held many positions in the Department of Science Education such as Exam officer/ academic advicer, Time-table officer/Examination and Monitory team. Dr Ibok is a certified Elementary, Secondary and Higher Institutions Mathematics Education tutor who has taught in all levels of Education. Dr Ibok is a member of many professional bodies including teachers registration council of Nigeria and the Mathematical association of Nigeria. Dr Ekpenyong. E. Ibok is blessed with lovely kids.
