EmailMr. Edom Onyam Edom hails from Ababene Adun Obubra local government are of cross river state. He is diligent, painstaking and level headed. He joined the services of the University of Calabar in 2013 as an accountant II, where he served in the accounts payable unit of bursary Department from 2013 to 2015. His diligence and commitment to duty endeared him to the deputy Bursar, budget unit, who sought for his transfer to the budget unit of the bursary department where he worked as the head of imprest and payment vouchers till March, 2018, when he was transferred to the pay-roll unit of bursary department at a time there was need to rejig the pay roll unit with experienced and competent handle for excellent service delivery. He therefore served at the payroll unit of bursary Department from March to the 17th day of April, 2018, when his appointment was converted to Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Banking and Finance, Faculty of Management sciences, University of Calabar, Calabar. He holds B.Sc (2009) and M.Sc (2015) degrees in banking and finance from the University of Calabar, Calabar. He is presently working on undertaking a Ph.D degree programme in banking and finance. Before now, he has successfully completed the Afrihub course, covering computer fundamentals, internet applications windows XP, Microsoft office word 2007, Microsoft office excel 2007 & Microsoft office power point 2007. On the same vein, he also received a three (3) day training on sage Evolution Accounting software organized by Edsens Investment Limited, Uyo. He has also attended one academic conference and presented two papers. His main research interest is on development finance with special focus on financial intermediation. Since his conversion to academics staff, he has been teaching and contributing to the graduation of students in the University. He has so far made four publications in reputable journals.
